Apatite

Apatite, a mineral group primarily made up of phosphate compounds along with elements like phosphorus, oxygen, hydrogen, and calcium, has the general formula Ca5(PO4)3(F,Cl,OH). This formula highlights its potential to include various halogens and hydrogen ions. Most commonly found in hues of light blue, green, gray, or even as colorless crystals, apatite boasts a transparent to translucent look. It has a moderate hardness, rating about 5 on the Mohs scale, and is known for its vitreous luster. One of apatite's notable properties is its strong fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light.
